An evening with Pressing Strings playing sweet music to rock your soul under the stars in the “heartbeat” of the New River Gorge National Park.
Fayetteville, WV – When music is given the benefit of instinct, imagination and inspiration, the results are guaranteed to be good. So, it ought to come as no surprise that the critically acclaimed Annapolis Maryland-based trio, appropriately dubbed Pressing Strings, has infused those elements within their musical mantra from the beginning. The band —Jordan Sokel (Guitar/Vocals), Nick Welker (Bass, Vocals), and Justin Kruger (Drums, Vocals) can trace its origins to Sokel’s initial fascination with some iconic influences, among them, the usual suspects — Dylan, Marley, Simon, Withers, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin, etc., as well as some more under the radar artists like Taj Mahal, R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, and Nick Drake.

WHAT: A Magical evening of beautiful vibes in the air, camping, food trucks, local brews, art vendors, massage therapy and smiles all around
WHEN: June 29, 2024 – Bar & Doors at 5:00pm / 7:30pm – 11:00pm
HOW MUCH: $12 ADV / $15 DOS (CAMPING WILL INCLUDE TICKETS)
QUIET HOURS EVENT NIGHT: EXTENDED TO 1:00AM
WHY: To celebrate the magic of the coming of summer in the gorge!
PARKING: ALL parking will be at Adventures on the Gorge (map) where a FREE and CONTINUOUS shuttle will be running to The Outpost (6 min ride) UNLESS you buy a limited “Onsite Parking Pass” or stay at The Outpost. AOTG will have their bar open, and The Outpost doors will open at 5:00pm with food trucks, local brews / seltzers / wine in a beautiful setting with a communal vibe.
Rafting Trips: Our partners at Adventures on the Gorge (AOTG) have a special rafting package planned for "Pressing Strings” fanbase.
